Fradland League

The Fradland League consists of 3 main parts:

bulletThe Warlord Rating system
bulletThe Gameplay guidelines
bulletThe FRAD Guide

The Warlords Rating System

To encourage novice players and to balance games the following system is proposed:

All Warlords are rated as either Novice or Expert by Lord Batz. Any Warlord may argue their rating and ultimately may choose to be rated at the higher level if they wish.

Novice

A player who has little experience of playing Warlords. Someone who is not an experienced wargamer.

Novice Warlords will not be bound by the army creation rules. They may choose a pregenerated Army or they may make up a new army without any restrictions. If an Army that has been created by a novice player is deemed to show a surprisingly good insight of the rules then that player may be upgraded to expert  level and then would be bound by restrictions at that level (and may have to redesign his army!)

Expert

A player who has played e-mail Warlords and has proved to have a good understanding of the rules. Or a player who has limited knowledge of e-mail Warlords but has a solid wargaming background.

Expert Warlords must follow the army creation guidelines in full.

The Gameplay Guidelines

These guidelines are designed to make the game fair and fun for all! These guidelines should be followed by Novices and Experts alike!

Cheating

There will be no cheating allowed! Cheating includes:

bulletRe-running or re-loading your turn. You must load your turn only once and accept your fate!
bulletPlaying the game from a previous turn in a 'parallel game'. For example: do not reload turn 1 and then switch over all the other players to computer control and then explore all the ruins!
bulletHex editing or otherwise 'fixing' any files.

Cheating will be punishable by turning the side over to computer control for a number of turns (or forever).

Alliances

You can use the diplomatic system or not as you see fit. Remember that allied players units can pass through (but not stop on) units belonging to allies.

Also note that when a player is allied to all other remaining players the game ends with an allied victory even if some of the other players are at war.

Get in the spirit of the game!

This includes (but is not limited to):

bulletTry to think 'fantasy mediaeval' when playing.
bulletGive your Heroes appropriate names.
bulletGive your side a 'personality'.
bulletSend propaganda e-mail to stir things up!

Turn notification

Each time you send on your turn please also send an e-mail to all players letting them know who has the turn. The simplest way to do this is to keep the first turn notification you get and do a 'reply all' to this each time.

Be Quick

Send your turn on as soon as you can. If you are going to be away for a while then send a message to the others. If you have received your turn and don't expect to be able to send it on in a couple of days then send a message warning of the delay.

The FRAD Guide

These guidelines are designed to make the armies in the game 'fantasy realistic' click here for a full description.
